Stephanie Brown was born in 2003. In Team Year Five, she ran away from home to get away from her father, the villain Cluemaster. By December 2nd of that year, missing posters about her were up in Bludhaven. She was one of many teenagers kidnapped by a squad of Manta Troopers led by Tigress in Team Year Six. She and seven other teenagers were gathered up in Star City on March 30th, 21:57 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), for a scheduled shipment to the Reach. Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, and Bumblebee hid among the teenagers. Brown was skeptical of Drake and Gordon until she saw Bumblebee hide in Drake's jacket. Brown and the other teenagers were promptly rescued by the Team on March 31st. In Team Year Seven, she debuted as Spoiler. In Team Year Eight, she joined the Team and was assigned the designation B-28. In January, Spoiler helped disarm Joker's explosives in the United Nations General Assembly room. She, Robin, and Batwoman beat Joker into submission before he could flee the scene.
On July 27th, 19:57, Team Year Eight, Spoiler was one of the proteges who left the Team and joined Batman's covert team in protest of increasing United Nations regulations. She was assigned the hacked designation Z-09. On September 12th, 21:39 EDT, Spoiler was part of the squad monitoring Mad Hatter in Gotham City. Spoiler noticed he was hatless. Robin revealed that was a condition of his parole. After Arrowette's joke, Spoiler noted he was heading to his night job right on schedule and he was drinking a lot of water. Robin deduced it was really Clayface but Orphan suddenly sliced him in half to confirm. They fought. Spoiler got an idea and yelled loud enough that they should go to Hatter's location. Clayface fell for it and retreated. Spoiler slipped a liquid tracer on him and led them straight to Hatter's base. They learned Hatter was using nano-technology to force meta-humans to work for Branchwater Security. Robin ordered Spoiler to go after Hatter but she lost him. They cleared the building just as the self-destruct sequence ended.
On February 24th, 19:00 EST, Team Year Nine, Spoiler was one of several who rejoined the Team per Black Lightning's stipulations for taking over as leader of the Justice League. On April 18th, Team Year Ten, Spoiler went to the Vault in Star City to help Tigress figure out if Onyx and Cassandra Savage really did defect from the League of Shadows. Spoiler used her own experience to prove a child will walk away from her bad guy dad eventually and intimated Tigress would understand that. Red Arrow disagreed and cited Icicle Junior and Cheshire as two who didn't but couldn't settle on if they were both trustworthy or untrustworthy. Spoiler agreed they could both be legitimate but that the Shadows got them to mistrust each other. Tigress decided to give both a chance. On April 20th, Spoiler returned to the Vault to relieve Orphan of guard duty but she refused to leave. Some time later, Tigress returned to relieve Spoiler and was surprised Orphan was still there. Spoiler reported both Savage and Onyx were quiet. Tigress was pleased and dismissed Spoiler. Spoiler asked Orphan if she was coming but got no response. Tigress tried to no avail. Spoiler wished her luck and zetaed. She, Batman, Nightwing, Robin, and Batwoman dealt with a turf war between Penguin and Two-Face.
On September 16th, Team Year Ten, Spoiler attended Conner Kent and M'gann M'orzz's wedding in Happy Harbor and sat next to Robin. On November 9th, Spoiler was assigned to Beta Squad. She noted it was all hands on deck but Thirteen was absent. Tigress informed her Thirteen was the current host of Dr. Fate and Nabu wasn't in the mood to help. Beta zetaed off the Watchtower to help in the search for the kidnapped Queen Perdita Vladek. On November 10, 07:54 EET, Beta Squad posed as part of a United Nations commission to infiltrate a hospital in Vlatavastok where five comatose patients were being observed for nearly two years. Stephanie Brown was amused with Dick Grayson's cover story about being a graduate student working towards a doctorate. She informed him the patents consisted of two miners, two geologists, and one mining engineer. They headed to a mine outside Krastmala where all five worked at. At 20:06 EET, they infiltrated the mine. Mist was assigned to stand guard while Nightwing, Spoiler, and Orphan descended down the mine.
They transmitted their data to Oracle. Mist hailed them on comms to warn six of the individuals who kidnapped Queen Perdita Vladek and liberated Count Vertigo were headed to their location. Nightwing reminded Orphan not to kill anyone. To his shock, she immediately sliced one of their heads off. He caught it and realized they were all robots. Orphan signed their body language revealed they were not human. Spoiler translated but Nightwing informed her that he understood ASL, too. Nightwing ordered them to take out the other five with extreme prejudice. They dodged sonic blasts. Spoiler blew up one up shortly after Mist joined them. Spoiler saw no point in assisting Orphan and stayed back with Mist. Oracle stabbed 14 and 15 then leaped and used the stalagmites to steer her onto 16's back. She stabbed its head and grounded it. Mist claimed she could have done that. Spoiler did not think so.
