The Reach Ambassador is a member of the Reach. Its function is political in nature and appears to other races as a peaceful diplomat, placing the race into a false sense of security. On Earth, the Ambassador also kept a close eye over the Scientist's research on the human Meta-Gene. On March 23rd, the Ambassador questioned the Scientist's decision to keep Lagoon Boy for experimentation but allowed it. On March 30th, the Ambassador gave Kaldur'ahm a tour of a Reach Ship, introduced him to the Scientist, and spoke in general about their Meta-Gene research. The Ambassador wouldn't show him every room but Kaldur'ahm then informed him the next shipment of teenagers was on schedule. On March 31st, the Ambassador arrived in peace at the United Nations Headquarters and was greeted by Secretary-General Tseng. The Ambassador offered to extend his race's reach to help the human race.
The Ambassador sent an invitation to Captain Atom to meet him at the United Nations Headquarters. On April 1st, 19:20 EDT, the Captain attended a public event with the Ambassador and Tseng. Once the Ambassador insinuated the Justice League could enforce diplomacy with their Metagene powers, Captain moved the meeting to private quarters. Things became much worse when the Ambassador revealed the League were wanted criminals throughout the galaxy and the Team targeted his ship. On April 2nd, the Ambassador and Tseng took a helicopter to Washington, D.C. at the site of what was left of the Hall of Justice. The Ambassador applied a Scarab device on the shield and deactivated it. He then "accidentally" revealed the existence of the Watchtower in front of a news crew. The Ambassador later offered to take custody of Despero. Captain Atom couldn't come up with a reason to deny the offer. The Ambassador participated in a commercial for the new Reach drink produced by LexCorp and the Reach.
On May 23rd, 21:23 EDT, the Ambassador attempted to order Mongul to reverse course away from Earth. Mongul denied the request and revealed the Reach's presence was why he was coming in the first place. Ambassador deferred to Black Beetle for a plan. On May 25th, 05:31 EDT, the Ambassador and Secretary-General Tseng held a press conferencing pledging the Reach's intent to stay on Earth. When it became clear Earth's military forces and heroes weren't enough, he sacrified two thirds of the hidden Reach fleet to protect the Reach's investment. However, Ambassador believed it was worth it as the Crystal Key of the Warworld came into the possession of the Reach. On May 28th, 15:04 EDT, the Ambassador held a press conference in front of the United Nations Headquarters to introduce Blue Beetle to the public and credit him with saving the world from the Warworld. At 17:00 EDT, he was part of a remote conference with Vandal Savage, Black Manta, and Kaldur'ahm. Ambassador passed an order not to attack the Justice League.
On May 29th, 12:14 EDT, the Ambassador made an announcement revealing the Warworld would be the Reach's gift to Earth. Until humanity was ready to use it, the Reach would safeguard it. In the evening, the Ambassador was set to appear on the "G. Gordon Godfrey Show" but was alerted to the runaways' arrival on the Warworld. He ordered the termination of both Arsenal and the runaways. On 23:16 UTC, the Ambassador was confronted by Godfrey. Godfrey questioned him about the hidden fleet used against the Warworld and his previous statement of only having one, unarmed ship. From the Reach Ship in New York City, the Ambassador commanded Blue Beetle's Scarab. On June 14th, he suffered another set back with the loss of Blue and Green Beetle to the Team.
On June 19th, the Ambassador attended the Santa Prisca summit and learned of the Light's agenda. As the Team crashed the summit, Ambassador was stapled by Blue Beetle. After demanding aid from the Black Beetle, Ambassador was removed from his role as leader of the delegation per Article 16 of the Reach Planetary Acquisition Code. Black Beetle took the Scientist and fled the island without Ambassador. On July 4th, the Ambassador was returned to a Reach Ship while the delegation was sent to Oa to stand trial.
