Zviad Baazovi was born in 1990. As of Team Year Eight, Baazovi was the United Nations ambassador for Markovia. In January Team Year Eight, he was present at the United Nations General Assembly when the Joker threatened to blow up the room. At an unknown point, he meta-activated a limited psychic power. On July 30, 14:21 EDT, Baazovi attended a United Nations summit on meta-humans. He revealed one of the precautions taken was issuing a ban on all vigilantes from entering Markovia without written permission from the government. On July 31st, 00:02 EEST, Baazovi attended Prince Gregor Markov's pre-coronation reception in Markovburg at the Markovian Royal Palace. After Baron DeLamb's ambitions to take over the country were exposed, Baazovi spoke to Markov and insisted Markovia had suffered through enough from meta-humans and it needed his strong leadership. Markov reluctantly exiled his twin brother Brion Markov, also exposed as a meta-human in the incident. On December 31st, 09:00 CAT, Baazovi was present at a press event for the United Nations climate conference held in Bwundasa.
On February 16th, Team Year Nine, Baazovi led a crowd of civilians at the palace and incited them to cheer for Brion Markov, now Geo-Force for helping stop Baron Bedlam's coup. Bedlam broke free of his restraint and tried to flee but Geo-Force executed him. Baazovi declared Geo-Force the new king in front of the cheering crowd. However, the Team and Outsiders were horrified. Baazovi claimed he had to make the choice like any soldier fighting in wartime and shared his opinion that Gregor Markov was too weak to be king. Geo-Force agreed and declared himself the king. On February 23rd, Baazovi was welcomed to the Light as its newest member. He downplayed his role in Markovia, sayig he was no Martian but his limited meta-psychic ability came in handy nudging people toward their own worst impulses. Vandal Savage stated there was no need to be modest and his services were appreciated.
On May 14th, 07:32 ICT, Team Year Ten, Baazovi briefed the other members of the Light remotely about the meta-human project in Markovia. He noted it couldn't be better and another clutch of meta-humans arrives each day. He added Ultra-Humanite and Dr. Helga Jace were doing fine work, using Tar to activate still more. He thought the best part was they were all volunteers so there was no need for coercion or trafficking, all he had to do was pass a "little patriotic nudge" to King Brion and he would pass it onto the people, and Dr. Jace had really taken the newly minted metas under her wing like a mother. Savage inquired about Secretary General Troia's push to send United Nations inspectors to Markovia. Baazovi brushed it off as a minor concern but was interrupted when Klarion started to panic and teleported away. Baazovi was amused and teased their excitable friend seemed to be having a moment.
On September 9th, Baazovi arrived at the scene of another meta-human hate crime in Markovburg. King Brion was irate about the mob leader, Wilhelm Vittings escaped capture but Baazovi placated him, emphasizing the need to look at the bigger picture. He told King Brion he sent a powerful message to the radical anti-metas trying to force metas out of Markovia. King Brion agreed and issued a statement to the press that Markovia welcomed all meta-humans. On September 10th, 02:48 EEST, Baazovi took Lizard Johnny aside and asked him how he was doing, asserting he must be angry and compared it to when King Brion had to do what he had to in order to defend himself and others from Baron Bedlam. Johnny, influenced by Baazovi's ability, started to agree. Fury observed Baazovi. Josef Mueller asked King Brion for clarification on granting metas an instant visa and transport upon contacting the local Markovian embassy or mission. King Brion confirmed that was correct. Mueller pointed out that looked like they would be tryiing to poach metas away from the Justice League and gave the mission in Taos as an example. King Brion was distraught.
Baazovi puts his hands on both of their shoulders and countered if the high and mighty Justice League were taking care of these children, they wouldn't need Markovia. Both fell under his sway and agreed. Baazovi proclaimed it was wonderful and was glad they were in agreement. He advised Mueller to come with him since there was no need to bother the king with the details. Some time later at the Markov Family Meta-Human Youth Center, King Brion became concerned that Lizard Johnny suddenly wanted to become an Infinitor when he was a previous chance to join the Team or Outsiders in Taos. Baazovi appeared to told Fury to report to Trajectory for her next mission. He mused the he and the king had much to discuss. Fury asked King Brion if that's what he wanted. King Brion confirmed that was right. Fury was skeptical but obeyed and left. An hour or so later, he interrupted a private talk between King Brion and Halo in the throne room on purpose. He acted happy that the woman King Brion asked to be his queen had come and asked if she came to accept his proposal. Halo stated they absolutely have not.
King Brion became irate about her intentions. Things became heated and Halo left. Baazovi tried to console him but King Brion ordered him to leave. Baazovi grinned as he left the room. On November 10th, 04:08 EET, Team Year Ten, King Markov had a conference call with the Justice League, Team, and Outsiders. Baazovi observed in the room. Markov stated none of them had permission to enter Markovian sovereign territory and implored them to leave the rescue mission to him and his Infinitors. He vowed to apprehend Count Vertigo and find Queen Vladek. The Infinitors gathered in the throne room. Baazovi ran in and asked Markov where he was going. He replied they were going to fulfill his promise to which he was witness to. Baazovi pointed out they did not know their location. Fury stated they did because her sources provided the location. He was impressed and changed his opinion then whispered to Markov that his first priority should be rescuing Vladek and not his grudge against Vertigo. Markov agreed. As the Infinitors departed, Baazovi told them to protect their king. Trajectory and Everyman acknowledged.
Baazovi secretly made his way to the location. While the Infinitors fought some of Vladek's kidnappers, Baazvoi waited in a forest clearning nearby with Dr. Simon Ecks, Johann Mintz, Piotor Platz, and two of the kidnappers. Trajectory later reported to him that Geo-Force was escorting Vladek back to the royal palace but Fury and Kobold were still fighting. Baazovi found that sufficient and ordered kidnapper #13 to stop playing the recording of Everyman's roar and get their team out.
