Talia Al Ghul is the daughter of Ra's and Melisande Al Ghul. She was raised and trained by Ra's in seclusion to become a great warrior and leader. However, she came to love both him and his enemy Batman. Often torn by her feelings, Talia spares Batman during confrontations. On August 27th, 2009, from atop Gotham City Police Department headquarters, she refused to stop serving her father prompting Batman to leave her. The next year, on February 28th, 22:07 Eastern Caribbean Time (ECT), she got her father's blessing to marry Matthew Hagen, a member of the League of Shadows. However, it appeared to be a ruse to gain him access to the Lazarus Pit and cure him of cancer. Talia took Hagen to the Pit and locked him in it.
On August 19th, at Cape Canaveral, she spared Batman and allowed him to ascend to the top of a satellite only to watch her father fall to his death. On August 25th, she was horrified when the recently resurrected Ra's ordered the preparation of "The Serpent." To compound matters, a bizarre monstrosity also emerged from the Lazarus Pit to which Sensei blamed Talia for. After Ra's neutralized Clayface, Talia was ordered to explain the situation.
