Persephone is an Amazon known for her beauty and warrior skills. She was a close, if not near, equal to Artemis. It seemed that Persephone differed in her aptitude and specialized in a scythe weapon. When the Amazons revolted, Persephone was scarred on her right eye by Phobos, one of Ares' sons.
Following the battle, she hid the scar with her hair and was tortured by a desire to start a family and fall in love. As time grew, her station as a prison guard compromised her perspective. Persephone was seduced by Ares and they plotted his freedom. Around the time of the Blood Moon, they would try an escape. With a stroke of luck, a man crashed onto the island and distracted the other Amazons. Persephone killed Alexa and fled Themyscira with Ares. She was later killed by Hippolyta.
