Deimos is the personification of dread. He is the son of Ares and Aphrodite. Deimos, his twin brother Phobos and the goddess Eris often accompany Ares into battle. He is a towering figure with a beard of snakes. Deimos was present during the revolt of the Amazons.
Centuries later, Ares escaped his imprisonment. While he was in route to the gateway to Tartarus, Ares dispatched Deimos to kill the Amazon who escorted the pilot, Steve Trevor, back to the outside world. The Amazon turned out to be Princess Diana. The two fought from alley to shopping mall to the streets of New York. Eventually, Diana was able to bind Deimos with the Lasso of Truth. Before Deimos could succumb to the properties of the lasso, the hydra that adorns his beard bit him and he crumbled to dust.
