Department of Corrections (D.O.C.) Guard Hauser released Mari McCabe from her jail cell after her bail was posted by her former foster father Chuck. While McCabe was processed, her Spirit Totem caught Hauser's eye. He inquired about it and offered her $20 for it on account he forgot to buy his wife a birthday present. He increased his offer to $50 but McCabe declined.
