When the Wayne family walked home from a theater showing of the movie "The Mark of Zorro," a criminal named Joe Chill approached them. He demanded their money and jewels. However, Chill shot and killed both Thomas and Martha Wayne. Bruce Wayne was forever changed by the tragedy and his parents' deaths serve as a lasting memory as he fights a personal war against crime.
