Lana Lang is the outspoken Managing Editor of the Daily Planet in Metropolis. She was the most vocal supporter of Batman's return and viewed the event as the symbolic resurgence of the comman man's will to resist in a world overshadowed by crime. Lang concluded that the people should trust Batman for the time being on the grounds, he saved lives before.
