Dr. Wolper is a popular psychologist and author of the best seller "Hey, I'm Okay." Wolper took part in Harvey Dent's rehabilitation but Dent still returned to crime. Wolper blamed Batman, who he believed trapped weak-minded nerotics with his psycho-erotic behavior like a net, drawing them into corresponding, intersecting patterns. Wolper asserted Batman created his own enemies and commits crimes through his villains. In the aftermath of Batman's conflict with the Mutant Gang, Wolper declared the Dark Knight poisoned the next generation with his violent anti-social behavior. Over the course of three months, Wolper was enthralled with the Joker's recovery from his catatonic state. He was, however, manipulated by the Joker into arranging for an appearance on a talk show to explain his side. As part of the terms of the day pass, Wolper accompanied Joker to his appearance on "The David Endochrine Show." A few minutes into the episode, the Joker shattered his mug and slit Wolper's neck. He bled out and died on Endochrine's desk.
