The Pipe is a sewage pipe located at the West River and 40. Batman chose the Pipe as the site of his rematch with the Mutant Leader, in front of his gang, in order to humiliate him and end his hold on the youth of Gotham once and for all. The fight took place in a mud pit where Batman carefully disabled the Mutant Leader before breaking his arms, legs, and beating him into submission.
