The Utility Belt is merely a complement to Batman's training and range of skills. Some of its contents are Batarangs, grappling hooks, cable, and nerve gas capsules. During Two-Face's attack on the Gotham Life Building, Batman exposed the villain's henchmen to a nerve gas that made them relive their worst nightmares. He stopped the countdown on one of two bombs using a freezing compound. At the end of the first battle against the Mutant Leader, Batman tossed an ampule on his face that covered it in a thick black goop. The leader suffocated and passed out while he struggled to get it off.
