Bruno is a former member of the Mutant Gang who broke away after its leader was defeated and humiliated by Batman. Bruno adopted a Neo Nazi motif, complete with Hakenkreuz painted on her exposed breasts. She began working for the Joker and was his "main squeeze" allegedly. Bruno, Don, and Rob held up a liquor store but were confronted by Batman. Bruno fled the scene. Robin then led Bruno down an alley into a building. Bruno attempted to kill Batman with grenades but she plunged into the sewers. Before Batman could question her about the Joker's plans and gain any intelligence, Superman arrived and tied Bruno up in pipes. Bruno became highly agitated, prompting Batman to punch her out.
