The Gotham University was built some time in the early 20th century, possibly 1908. Today, the president is Dr. Steven Phillips.
Two researchers, Edward Nashton and Julie created external bio hard drives for the human brain. Nashton became increasingly resistant to selling the inventions. Julie secretly sabotaged the device to have Nashton driven out so she could sell them to a businessman, Chuck Gorman.
Sometime after Christmas but before New Year's Eve, the University was the third site robbed by Francis Gray. He stole a base component for radium trichloromenthate at a chemical lab. After he used his power to go back in time 20 years ago, this robbery ceased to happen.
Dr. Jane Blaisedale was a nuclear physicist who worked on a way to boost nuclear energy output. Out of safety concerns, her project was terminated. Blaisedale left the University. Soon after, she and Firefly broke into the Astrophysics department and stole radioactive phosphorus.
Dr. Kirk Langstrom was rehabilitated from career as Man Bat and became a professor at the University. Three misfits broke into his computer and began to manufacture a patch form of Langstrom's mutagen. The Terrible Trio terrorized the campus until Batman and Batgirl defeated them.
On a bright note, Barbara Gordon recently enrolled to the University during a fall semester.
