The Cyro-Accelerator is a device created by Mr. Freeze with parts mostly stolen by Firefly. It was designed to expand Mr. Freeze's cyrokinetic powers ten fold and give him the ability to freeze city blocks in one blast. Situated near vents that provide hear in every Gotham home, Mr. Freeze could use the Accelerator to take Gotham over. He first targeted the Gotham Police Gala then City Hall. However, the Batman tricked Firefly into damaging the Accelerator and then pulled the reset switch on the boiler to save Gotham.
