After being contacted by Hugo Strange, the Joining began plans to invade Earth. To do so, they planned to use advance agents armed with powers of the world's super heroes. However, upon activation, they possessed something to an infant mind and slowly matured. It became a race against time as the Justice League tried to use their weaknesses against the androids. The Batman and Flash realized that their chest housed the energy source and upon physical contact, the heroes would get their powers back. The League made short work of the superdroids and prepared to face the Joining.
