After Count Dracula was revived by the Penguin, he sought to conquer Gotham human by human. Dracula quickly amassed an army of vampires by infecting his victims. The news stations dubbed these missing people, the "Lost Ones." The Batman successfully created a cure for vampirism and took one the army single-handedly. The Lost Ones returned to their normal human forms, passed out, and later awoke with no recollection of what happened. The Penguin was later implicated in their kidnapping as part of an elaborate ransom.
