Cosmo Krank founded Krank Co. and sold toys for children. However, Bruce Wayne began to notice that every toy line: Kosmo Flier, Krank Bots, and Zoom Pets proved unsafe. Wayne Industries shut down Krank Co for good. Krank wanted revenge and upgraded his toys with deadly force to kill Wayne. Despite 24 hour police protection on Wayne, Krank continued to make attempts on his life.
Krank believed he captured Wayne at a park dedication ceremony and took him to Kranky Town, a theme park of his creation. However, the Batman appeared along with Detective Tankenson. Batman hacked the toys and defeated Krank with them. Some time later, Krank was one of the villains believed to be kidnapped by Rumor. He was not.
