Jump City is a major metropolitan city on the west coast of the United States of America near the San Francisco Bay area. The atmosphere of the city is reminiscent of an alternate 1960's period. The city is also riddled with long abandoned buildings like a town library, stadium, an offshore oil tanker, and observatory. But it pales in comparison to a more sinister past. Long before Jump City was built, a secret society that worshipped Trigon built catacombs and marked them with symbols of Scath and Raven. A giant palm marked the site of where Trigon was predicted to enter the world of man.

Present-day Jump City is home to a branch of Wayne Enterprises, the Titans Tower, H.I.V.E. Academy, a raceway named Crash Alley, a concert hall, a branch of the Bank of Perez, the Bay Bridge, a subway, the franchise super store Cook's Electronics, Murakami School, recycling center, prison complex, a technology sector in the south side which includes the Research and Development-oriented Gamestation Labs, and a satellite tower that acts as the city's main communication hub. Like most of California, Jump City is precariously situated on faultlines and the caverns under the city are 800 meters deep. The outskirts of Jump City are inhospitable deserts. As for the culture of the city, giant celebrations take place on major holidays such as Independence Day. Surfing, Hockey, and Little League Baseball are the most popular sports.

To make their daily patrol more efficient, the Titans arbitarily split up the city into sectors. Sector 5 includes their favorite pizza parlor and was where Starfire crash landed. The Titans were a welcome addition to the city as it became a focal point for crime and super villains. When they weren't fighting crime, they would make a trip downtown to their favorite block, home to a video store, candy store, auto parts store, bookstore, and A.J.'s Music Store. However, after they returned from fighting the Brotherhood of Evil, the block was demolished to make way for a new office complex.
