The Hierarchy of International Vengeance and Eliminations (H.I.V.E.) Academy for Extraordinary Young People (H.A.E.Y.P.) is a training academy for young super villains. Upon graduation, they become agents for H.I.V.E., a major criminal organization. It is overseen by the H.I.V.E. Headmistress and administered by hooded followers. For years, the location of H.I.V.E. Academy was kept secret.
The Teen Titans managed to slip a tracer on one of its students, Jinx, during a gold heist. Instead of storming the compound, the Titans elected to perform an undercover operation. Cyborg infiltrated the ranks as a prodigal student named Stone. The honeycomb motif is ever present in the towering facility equipped with a lunchroom, combat practice rooms, and dormitories. After Brother Blood's plans were revealed, the Titans stormed the academy and it was destroyed.
Brother Blood built an undersea facility for H.I.V.E. Academy 50 miles offshore Jump City with the aid of his best students including Bumblebee. In order to protect the facility, H.I.V.E. kidnapped several sea animals and outfitted them with cybernetics that made them loyal to Blood's command. The Teen Titans, Aqualad, and Bumblebee initiated a multi-pronged plan to stop Blood from destroying Jump City. They overloaded the Blood's Sonic Resonator and destroyed the building.
Blood and H.I.V.E. headed east to Steel City and decided to forcefully take the Titans East Tower as their new Academy. After the Titans defeated Blood once and for all, control of H.I.V.E. feel back into the Headmistress' control and continues to operate out of a new secret base.
