The Quantum Generator is the creation of The Brain. With it, he could warp the fabric of space-time and open black holes anywhere he wanted to. Essentially, the Brain could take over the world with it in his arsenal. The Doom Patrol set out to stop him but were captured. Rather than follow Mento's orders and destroy it, Beast Boy freed his comrades from their restraints. Negative Man projected himself and destroyed the generator.
The Brain and Monsieur Mallah retreated to a base in the Amazon to build another power source for the generator battery. Doing so would take years of scavenging raw materials. After some time, the Brain completed a second generator and after encountering the Teen Titans, as well as the Doom Patrol, he planned to debut his device by destroying Jump City and the Titans Tower. However, Beast Boy shifted the programmed coordinates from Jump City to the location of the base. The Brotherhood, Titans, and Doom Patrol safely retreated as the generator destroyed itself and the base.
