The Maximum 7 is latest incarnation of the Maximum brand name, a series of advanced computer processors invented and sold by S.T.A.R. Labs. It is tested to be eight times faster than the Maximum 6. In a bid to live life to the fullest, Cyborg ordered a 7 for himself and upgraded his technology when he found it was compatible with his systems. However, Cyborg went too far and needed to accept that limits were there for a reason. In trying to capture Billy Numerous, Cyborg transferred all his energy into the 7 and became his worst nightmare, completely robotic in nature. Ultimately, his core operating hardware was stressed beyond capacity and he removed the 7, never to use it again.
