As part of a plan to blackmail Robin into becoming his apprentice, Slade created a fake Chronoton Detonator. It was a distraction to separate the Titans from Robin and infect them with nanoscopic probes. It was transported from Pier 41 across the Jump City sewer system by Slade's Robot Commandos. A real Chronoton Detonator works by eradicating all chronotons within a localized area and utterly destroys the temporal components of the space-time continuum. In essence, one can stop time permanently and freeze frame an entire city. To make matters worse, it contains a very unstable core.
