In order to get Terra back on the Titans, Slade unleashed several mechanical worms under Jump City. The Teen Titans detected earthquakes, then after Slade's taunting, found the worms and a chamber 300 meters below sea level. The worms were to link up above and under the Titans Tower, and use their laser blasters to sink it. After debris smashed the control console, the worms began to excavate the Tower. Cyborg drilled a hole in the worms and Beast Boy transformed into animals small enough to enter and sabotaged the worm's circuits. The worms above the Tower imploded but the ones below managed to complete the mission and went offline. Raven and Terra used their powers to save the Tower.
