As part of his plan to destroy the Teen Titans, Slade ordered Terra to free Cinderblock, Plasmus, and Overload from Jump City's prison complex. After being released from cellblock nine, the trio were implanted with neural remotes and put under Slade's influence. However, the Titans rallied against Slade and Terra. The three villains were summoned and merged into one being called Ternion. Along with an army of H.I.V.E. Robots and Commandos, Ternion fought the Titans at a last stand. They were defeated and upon the removal of the implants, the three villains were restored to their normal selves.
