Hailing from the planet Garline Prime, the Source believes itself to be the destroyer of worlds and feared across three galaxies. It resembles the meat-free substitute of Earth, tofu, but refers to its physiology as noofu. The Source arrived on Earth and planned to use its supply of cows to power his armada of space ships, replace them with noofu, and then blow up the planet.
He made preparations under the guise of a new fast food chain called Mega Meaty Meat. The Source then cloned himself and formed them into a human to serve as manager of the chain and named it Bob. However, he employed Beast Boy who discovered the conspiracy. Armed with the Tidwell-3000 and a squirt gun, Beast Boy kidnapped the Source, destroyed his army of Bob's, and deactivated the Source's doomsday device. It was assumed the Source was eaten by Cyborg but it evaded digestion and laid low to plot revenge. It and a Bob were recruited to the Brotherhood of Evil. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
