Somewhere on the far side of the Milky Way Galaxy, a sentient rock-like being named Soto lives. Although he possesses advanced technology, his intelligence is low and he appears to have the personality of a human child. As a form of entertainment, Soto took a super intelligent dog-like lifeform and enslaved it as a pet. However, the dog escaped his odious master and fled to Earth.
Soto pursued it and took Beast Boy, instead. Enamored by his shape shifting powers, Soto was willing to let the dog have its freedom. The dog and the Teen Titans confronted him before the ship could leave Earth. The dog slipped his control leash on Soto While he threw a temper tantrum. In a strange twist, Soto agreed to switch roles and be the dog's pet. Together, they left the planet and returned home.
