After settling in Jump City, a gypsy named Mother Mae-Eye opened a shop that offers mystical items to the curious at a reasonable price. Her known inventory was a monkey pie, brain in a jar, and a familiar puppet. One day, Cyborg wandered into her store front and chose the pie, listening to his stomach. However, once the Teen Titans consumed the pie, they fell under the sway of Mae-Eye. She entered their Tower and slowly fed on their love. In the end, she would bake them and move on to the next victim. However, Starfire possessed nine stomachs and resisted her magic. She alone saw her true form and knocked the other Titans to their senses. After tricking Mae-Eye, they inserted her spoon into a pie. Mae-Eye and her gingerbread army were teleported into the pie. Rather than dispose of it, the Titans mailed the pie to the H.I.V.E. Five.
After an undisclosed amount of time, Mae-Eye was expelled by the Five, too. A year later, she was recruited to join the Brotherhood of Evil. In the final battle between the Brotherhood and the Teen Titans, Mae-Eye was cryogenically frozen by Mas y Menos, who took control of Professor Chang's technology, along with the rest of the Brotherhood.
