General Immortus is the forever soldier and has been present at every major battle in the history of the world. He was allegedly born during the height of Egypt's splendor in ancient times. As an adult, he drank the Immortality Elixir and was granted long life. He was later seen at battles with Romans, Japanese warlords, and Feudal Knights. Immortus is also associated with Galileo, Attila the Hun, Alexander the Great, Napolean Bonaparte and even taught his forte to Sun Tzu. In addition to fighting every war, Immortus also owned a vast diamond mine that sustained his wealth. However, in modern times, he exhausted his supply of the alchemical potion and hired Dr. Niles Caulder to help recreate it. Caulder soon learned who Immortus was and sabotaged his research. In the scuffle, Caulder escaped with his life but lost the use of his legs. Soon after, Immortus joined the Brotherhood of Evil to further their collective goal of world domination.
Years later, Immortus and the Brotherhood were still locked in unending battle with Caulder's Doom Patrol. While the Doom Patrol traveled across a desert to stop the Brain from activating a second Quantum Generator. Immortus waited until they were exhausted and mired in self-doubt. Then he sent his army to manipulate them into a narrow crevice. One by one, members of the Doom Patrol fell until only Mento and Beast Boy were left. He escaped the base's destruction and awaited the Brain's next plot. Months later, after the Titans were at their weakest strategically, General Immortus attacked Argent in New Zealand. He was later defeated in the final battle against the Teen Titans and frozen in place by Professor Chang's cryogenic technology.
