Origins unknown, a man took the name Ding Dong Daddy and established himself as an accomplished race car driver in the hot rod circuit. He then decided to turn to a life of crime and opened up a small bike shop as a front for his illegal operations. After building several custom vehicles, he debuted as a super villain. Daddy often committed crimes with his modified t-bucket hot rod named the Screamin' Demon and was assisted by his pit crew, D3, aboard their Pit Stop on Wheels. The Screamin' Demon has an array of devices including a jute box, neutralizer beam, cryogenic beam, and chompers. Daddy's one weakness is his showmanship and desire to challenge others.
After joining the Brotherhood of Evil, he was able to steal a titanium alloy briefcase from Robin and challenged him to a race. Whoever won would keep the case. However, he stuck to his code of the road and reduced the competition to only Robin. But soon enough Red X appeared. And after that Gizmo and several other villains appeared, all in pursuit of the case. In the end, Robin defeated Daddy by hijacking his own hot rod and crossing the finish line. Before passing out, he tried to issue a new challenge to race to Steel City. Daddy broke out of prison in time to watch Robin being frozen by the Brotherhood was himself when the Teen Titans won the final battle.
