Marv Wolfman is a professional comic book writer. In Flushing Queens in 1980, Marv Wolfman and George Perez could not come up with pitch for a new Teen Titans comics. With less than 24 hours before the deadline, Wolfman came up with an idea to reinvent them as super muscular, super ripped, and super tight talking hands, the Teen Tight-Hands who lived deep underground and worked on their muscles. Perez thought that was the worst idea anyone ever had. They relocated to their favorite diner for a pitstop. Wolfman insisted bad ideas were part of the creative process, digging through dirt to get to the gold. Perez put pitstop and reinventing the wheel and came up with a 60s themed version of the Teen Titans as a superhero Formula One pit crew. Perez was crestfallen at all the bad ideas they were coming up with. Wolfman believed they still had time to come up with something, even if it meant an all-nighter. Perez didn't know if his body could take it. Wolfman insisted he had a super body.

Perez got an idea to set the Titans as a group of organs inside Superman's body but after a harrowing battle with Doomsday, they were annoyed at not getting credit so they emptied his bladder in front of his adoring fans. They turned on him and Superman wept with embarrassment. Perez threw the idea away. Wolfman declared it was over. Perez checked his back pocket for anything. He found a drawing of Teen Titans on unused toilet paper. Wolfman took a look and mused they could get a six issue run. They set off to the pitch. Perez laughed at his dumb idea for a pit crew. Suddenly, the Pit Crew Titans crashed through their roof. Wolfman and Perez chased them away with brooms. Wolfman threw down his in anger.

At the Jump City Comic Book Con, Perez mistook the Teen Titans for cosplayers and told Wolfman to get a photo. Perez held up Robin then dropped him on his face afterwards. Cyborg recognized them and Beast Boy asked for their autographs. To their dismay, Starfire, Robin, and Raven had no clue who Wolfman and Perez were. Cyborg cited them as the comic book legends who turned Teen Titans into a phenomenon and Beast Boy added they created Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven. Raven was skeptical. Wolfman and Perez demonstrated their creative powers and teleported them in their comic book world where they all were jacked. Wolfman demonstrated his power to fill the Titans' speech bubbles with expertly crafted dialogue. Cyborg tested him and was impressed he could match his Woodchuck quote. They created a double page spread and the Titans found themselves face to face with a Giant Mutant Chicken. Robin balled up and cried, begging the chicken to eat his teammates and spare him. Wolfman was put off and stated their Robin was a fearless leader and the one before them was just sad. Perez reiterated that was why he didn't watch animation. Wolfman nodded in agreement.

Just as the chicken pecked them, they were teleported back to the convention. Wolfman assured them he was just messing with them. Raven took offense to their antics and told them to keep their creative genius to themselves and stormed off. Unable to defeat Control Freak and his gestalt with the Titans Cast Bot, Robin summoned Marv Wolfman and George Perez. They formed the Creative Sword and teleported everyone to their comic book world where the Cast Bot sliced the gestalt in half and it exploded. Robin congratulated everyone on their victory but they all ran for it when the Giant Mutant Chicken returned. Wolfman and Perez laughed at their expense.
