Chip Racerson Jr. was an accomplished six time championship driver. He was partners with Dr. Military. The duo parted ways after Military got Racerson banned from racing for cheating. Racerson quit racing and wasn't seen again. Racerson opened a raceway park named Chip's Raceway far away from Jump City on desert land. Some time later, Robin came to the conclusion Racerson was the key to their own exoneration after Military framed the Teen Titans for stealing ducks from the Jump City Animal Refuge and plotting to take over the city. Sticky Joe took the Teen Titans to Chip's Raceway, the last known address of Chip Racerson Jr. and found a trailer in the center. Racerson stepped outside and finished off a can of chips. He asked what they wanted. They revealed they were framed for a crime they didn't commit by Dr. Military. Racerson's grudge was still fresh but he wasn't yet sure he could trust them. If they could beat him in a race, they would earn it. At first, Racerson's car looked like junk but the legends were true and he raced ahead.
Robin implored them to work together again. They lined up, locked bumpers, and Cyborg expanded his tank threads over everyone's wheels. Cyborg activated his rocket thruster and they start to gain on Racerson. Robin ordered everyone to combine horsepower. They passed Racerson and crossed the finish line first. Racerson was impressed and agreed to help clear their names. He unknowingly ate chips laced with voice poison by Dr. Military. Robin traced the voice poison back to the Top Secret Government Science Facility and the Titans defeated Military. Racerson was cured and he cleared the Titans' names with the police. The Titans returned to Chip's Raceway and thanked Racerson. Racerson, in turn, thanked them for clearing up his throat and invited them to another race. Raven politely declined the offer and stated they had a race against evil.
