King Shark stole the tooth off Nar-Nar while he was asleep. It became King's prized pool cue but later lost it in the DC Villains Billiards League championship round to a challenger named The Hands who was really Robin incognito. Years later, King found out the truth and challenged Robin to a rematch. If King won, he got the narwhal tooth back. If Robin won, King would tell him the location of a stolen Atlantean treasure horde. King Shark won but tricked Robin into reading an incantation on the tooth in order to gain access to the Atlantean treasure. It read, "Narny narn, wharny narn, nee, nar-nar." Instead, Nar-Nar surfaced. King lied Robin was the tooth thief. Nar-Nar took back his tooth, reattached it, then proceeded to beat up Robin.
