Nora Fries is Mr. Freeze's beloved wife. She was frozen in a block of ice until he could find a cure for her bad stomach ache. She was later kept in his office at the Cold Academy. She was the key to Cyborg and Beast Boy's plan to prank Icicle so bad, Captain Cold would get his rank of captain back. Beast Boy and Cyborg set up a simple tin can telephone by Nora and they pretended to be Nora talking to Freeze. Cold was nervous about using Nora but Beast Boy and Cyborg convinced him to stick to the plan. Freeze fell for the ruse as they randomly matched Nora's angelic voice and weird syntax. According to plan, Cold entered the office and revealed the tin can and they tracked the other end to Icicle's dorm room.
