Jay Bastian is a creative executive at Warner Bros. Animation. He accompanied the Teen Titans and The Crew to a new office building built for Robin. Cyborg keyed on his last name and asked if it was spelled like the kid from "The Neverending Story," one of the greatest movies of all time. Bastian never saw it. Beast Boy turned into a Triceratops and led the wagon for The Crew. Bastian pointed out so many great movies were filmed at the Ranch like "Christmas Vacation", "High Noon", and "Lethal Weapon". Robin hyped a new feature at his building, hot desks. Regan didn't like the idea of employees having to reserve their own office space on a daily basis. Nor did Bastian like having to leave with all his toys every day. Cyborg wanted to play the most epic soundtrack of all time but Bastian was getting tired of him mentioning "The Neverending Story" then admitted he was into Westerns. He revealed they entered an area was once part of a Wild West movie set. They were attacked by three bandits.
As they crossed the lagoon, it reminded Cyborg of something. Bastian assumed he meant the kid from "The Neverending Story". Cyborg went on about Atreyu getting stuck in the swamp and Falkor saving the day. He called it the most dramatic scene of all time. Bastian pointed out the lagoon was used for "Fantasy Island". He realized it had the power to turn fantasies into reality. Robin instructed everyone to clear their minds. Bastian was worried. Peter asked him what he did. Bastian claimed he couldn't help it because Cyborg went on and on about that dumb movie. A monster burst through the bridge from the lagoon. It had a parakeet head, wings of a fly, and a reptilian tail. Bastian thought it was Falkor. Cyborg informed him Falkor was a fluffy white dragon. Bastian repeated he never saw the movie. Visual Effects helped take it down.
After escaping a cavern filling with lava, a giant beetle monster stood between them and the new office building. Beast Boy had no strength left to fight it. Bastian felt a battle scene was excessive at this point in the journey. Peter Michail suggested cutting it. Robin was surprised. Peter pointed out editorial could cut anything. An editor pushed the cut button on her gauntlet. The monster vanished. Peggy wished goodbye to the old ranch and promised its legacy would live on forever. Bastian called it the end of an era.
