On a Saturday, the Teen Titans took their time machine to the 1990s to visit the Video Dome, the greatest video store that decade had to offer. They took in the fresh video store smell of body odor and popcorn. Beast Boy noticed the arcades for Kowboy Kombat and Cheese Liege, Starfire noticed the Batman and Superman standees, Raven noticed the weird snacks like Bubblegum Bandages and Candy Toothpaste. Robin realized the store had the original "Space Struggles," the poor quality version that everyone dismissed for some reason. The Titans keyed towards the employee recommendation section and liked Kyle's picks: "Freddy Forkfingers," "The Disguise," "Judge Drudge," "The Grid," and "Jupiter Attacks." They soon learned Kyle was Control Freak before he became Control Freak. Naturally, he misinterpreted why they called him "Control Freak" and he admitted he could be a control freak when it came to running the store but he believed in great customer service. He even found the Titans super cool. Robin speculated they could prevent him from becoming Control Freak if they befriended him.

Kyle showed them where he lived, in the back of the store. Cyborg noticed Control Freak's remote still in progress. Kyle revealed he was working on a way to rewind multiple video tapes at once. Cyborg offered to take a look at it and started hitting it against his head. Kyle cautioned him to be careful with it. Robin mistook his phone for nunchuks. Beast Boy was freaked out by his limited edition Telecrummies dolls. Kyle pointed out it was the most popular show on Saturday mornings but was left to get back to work. He checked out a client but noticed he didn't return "Freddy Forkfingers Three," so Robin interrogated him like Batman would a criminal. Kyle interjected and told Robin he misplaced it in the drop slot by accident. Cyborg defeated Beast Boy in Kowboy Kombat but the former reckoned it would look better in 3d graphics. Cyborg sent one of his sentient microchips into the arcade. 3d projections manifested in the store and scared the customers away as they fought. Kyle ran over and pulled out the power cord.

Starfire played with the Batman and Superman standees, imagining them getting into a fight over trading places so the former could be in the shade. Kyle told her to cut it out. Raven informed him they were out of popcorn. Kyle was shocked she ate it all and stated it was only for customers. She cast a spell to make more but it was too much and popcorn erupted out of the roof into the parking lot. Kyle tried to eject them from the store but they braced themselves in the doorway. Cyborg tried to make him change his mind by presenting the finished remote. Kyle was surprised it was working. Cyborg mentioned he added upgrades that allowed the user to become part of the movies. He zapped Judge Drudge and turned into the title character then shot around the store. Kyle reminded him that was against the law. Raven turned into Forkfingers and ate all the snacks. He told her she had to pay for all of it. Starfire turned into an alien from Jupiter Attacks and blasted up the store.

Robin turned into a lead from The Grid and damaged the Batman and Superman standees with kung-fu. Beast Boy turned into the Disguise and knocked everything over while he spun around in a tornado. Kyle grabbed him and went for the remote but it bit him. Beast Boy punched it to the ground. Kyle grabbed it, zapped Space Struggles, and declared himself Control Freak. He easily deflected Cyborg and Starfire's blaster shots with his laser sword, tasered Beast Boy with it, and forced Robin to stand upright and blasted him. He declared victory and told them they were going to pay for wrecking the store. The Titans pleaded with him, claiming they came in the first place just to have some Saturday fun. He remembered what he did for fun on Saturdays and zapped them into a Telecrummies episode to their horror.
