In Robin's version of the Teen Titans' origin story, he went to the Vega System last to recruit Starfire. Robin sneaked aboard a Gordanian vessel, took out the security system temporarily, and liberated Starfire from her captors. She kissed him to learn English but stated he was completely resistible. She wasn't so sure she could be of any help on his team and revealed her sister stole her throne and sold her into slavery. Robin stated she didn't have to be alone.
