Upset and jealous the Teen Titans won an award for Teen Titans Go! being DC's longest running animated series, Superman transported them to the Stop Motion Dimension to bankrupt the show's budget. The show would cease to exist and by extension, so would the Teen Titans. The Titans arrived in the dimension's version of their Titans Tower. They loved their new surroundings and appearances and danced. Robin arrived last and tried to get them to stop. He explained to them stop-motion was the demented time-consuming art of animating puppets which involved moving an object and taking a photograph then repeating it many, many, many times over to create the illusion of life over the course of hundreds of hours worth of combining thousands of said photographs to create a single animated sequence. Robin emphasized it cost a bajillion dollars to produce. The Titans had some fun at Robin's expense and roasted him with Cyborg's buttjets. Robin clarified stop-motion would blow the budget of the show and in turn, they would cease to exist. The others were more interested in eating.
While looking for food, the Titans came upon a burger stand called Bangin' Burgers that was operated by Birdarang and Beatbox. Starfire ordered the Grand Master Fish and the Furious Fries. Raven ordered I Love It When They Call Me Big Jalapeno Poppas. Beast Boy ordered the All Up In Your Grilled Cheese. Cyborg ordered a Big Beef Burger. Birdarang and Beatbox paused. Birdarang asked Cyborg if he was sure and warned it came with a lot of beef. Cyborg asserted he loved beef. Birdarang clarified he was talking about throwing down. Robin tried to decline an expensive stop-motion battle but it was too late. Birdarang pressed a button at the register and the stand turned into a DJ booth and the Titans were surrounded by mountains of speakers. Birdarang ordered the Cassette Crew to crush them. Beatbox ejected three cassettes that kicked the Titans' butts in the form of break dance. Raven wondered how they wound up fighting. Robin got an idea and used his staff to gather up all three cassettes then rewinded them into submission. Birdarang gave them props. Cyborg pressed him about their food. Birdarang imitated a record then handed them two paper bags. The fight cost too much money and the area began to collapse into flames. Raven wondered if there was someone who could help them use less money. Robin realized they could go to the Stop-Motion Animators. Raven opened a portal.
The Titans exited Raven's portal onto the land of the Stop Motion Animators and saw trees decorated for Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, and other holidays. Cyborg concluded they were the type of folks who leave their decorations out all year. Robin noted Stop Motion Animators love making holiday specials and it's where they thrive. The Animators, three pairs of arms wearing colored gloves-red, green, and blue, asked who they were. Robin broke into a bad British accent and introduced themselves. They asked what he wanted. Robin replied their budget had runneth over. The Animators were confused why he was talking to them like they were medieval royalty. The other Titans explained the situation. The Animators understood they needed to learn how to do cost cutting to stay under budget and agreed to help them if the Titans reciprocated. One of the green gloves vanished then returned with a flash light and acted out the story of the First Clay. They instructed the Titans to journey deep into the hallowed woods to retrieve the First Clay, a cube of precious prehistoric Plasticine said to have been used in the first stop motion ever made.
They warned the Titans they would face many dangers. Robin thanked them and the Titans left. The Animators mused he was a weird little dude and presumed that was why Batman doesn't work with him anymore. Cyborg was skeptical of the supposed dangers and chomped on some Halloween candy. Raven pointed out some adorable Christmas ornaments. Starfire acknowledged the deadly skeletons popping up from the ground. They roared. The Titans scattered into the woods. Robin leaped over a pile of presents and realized he was lone. A skeleton bursted through the presents with a shield and sword and knocked Robin back with the former. Robin got out his staff. Cyborg ran into a skeleton. Both of their heads were knocked off and landed on each other's bodies. Cyborg demanded his body back. The skeleton grabbed him by its former neck and threw him into a tree, shattering the skeleton's body. The skeleton fired Cyborg's arm laser cannons then rocket launchers. Cyborg hid behind a stump but it was blown up. He hid behind a present but it was blown up. He hid behind a jack-o-lantern but it was blown up.
Cyborg appeared on his shoulder and attacked the skull. He pulled the skull off and stomped it to pieces. Cyborg reclaimed his body. Beast Boy turned into a bat and mocked the skeleton chasing him. The skeleton threw one of its bones at him like a boomerang and dropped him. The skeleton's delight soon turned to panic. Beast Boy landed on him in the form of a whale. Raven paused and asked herself why she was afraid of a skeleton because she was a demon. She revealed her demonic form and screamed. The skeleton dug furiously and buried itself. Starfire flew into a tree and a Santa hat fell on her head. The skeleton was taken aback by its reflection in bell and was delighted. Starfire realized it wanted to become Santa Claus and offered to make that come true. She used heart flowers to paint its body red. She grabbed two bats and used them for boots. She reached into a pumpkin and used the guts for a beard and mustache. The skeleton was happy. Starfire declared it was time for it to go off to the North Pole. She let go of the Christmas tree it was standing on and launched if far away.
The skeleton disarmed Robin. Robin threw a punch but the skeleton easily grabbed his fist. Robin struggled and was kicked. The skeleton saw Robin's exposed baby hand and laughed. Robin remarked the joke was on him. The glove opened and revealed a live grenade. The skeleton was blown up and the glove floated down over Robin's hand. The Stop Motion Animators offered to teach the Teen Titans about cost cutting so they don't cease to exist along with their show in exchange for getting them the clay. Deep into the hollow wood, the Titans came upon a weird statue garden but soon realized the statues were really victims of a Medusa who turned them to stone. Robin saw the First Clay. They attempted to sneak over to it but pretended to be statues whenever the Medusa turned from her work station. A crow popped on Beast Boy's head and he was upset. Medusa dropped the stone hat she was working on for a petrified crow and it shattered to pieces. She chased after them until they were cornered. Beast Boy tricked the Medusa into looking at her reflection in Cyborg's shiny booty and turning herself to stone. The Titans returned to the animators with the First Clay but were stunned to see an animator toss it aside.
They revealed they had tons of the clay and it was really one of the "you tricked us into doing a thing so we'd learn a thing" type of thing where they did cost cutting choices without even knowing it. They decided to give Robin the First Clay and instructed him to use it in his hour of need. Superman realized sending the Teen Titans to the Stop-Motion Dimension was not enough to end Teen Titans Go! once and for all so he consumed their budget by creating a mech suit then planned to use it to destroy that dimension's Jump City. He began destroying buildings. The Teen Titans portaled to a roof and were shocked to see Superman piloting it. After he explained his plan, they challenged him in the Titan Robot thanks to the lesson in cost cutting they learned. The Superman Mech took a punch then Robin taunted him by calling him "Clark". The mech stunned the Titan Robot with a powered up double punch. Raven hit it with a right punch but Superman unleashed the mech's rocket launchers on Titan Robot then rocked it with several punches in a row.
Robin took the First Clay given to him by the Stop-Motion Animators and launched into the Titan Robot's hands. It formed the clay into an energy sword. Superman Mech was crippled by the sword's slices and collapsed. After seeing the error of his ways, Superman opened a portal back home but also pitched a crossover series with the Super Friends. Robin jump kicked him through the portal. The Titans, Skeletons, Medusa, Titan Robot, Superman Mech, and the Stop-Motion Animators danced to their song about 400 episodes.
