While chasing Krypto in the Hall of Justice, Sticky Joe crashed into the Phantom Zone Projector display and was zapped into the Phantom Zone with his can. Aethyr, an all-powerful evil residing in the Zone, was insulted by his trespassing and gave Joe the choice of which punishment: the chamber of nightmares or watching "Sweet Home Alabama" with him in his studio apartment. Joe drifted towards the chamber of nightmares, stunning Aethyr. Aethyr clarified which led where but Joe still headed towards the nightmares. Aethyr admitted he was bluffing and revealed there was no such thing as a chamber of nightmares, he wanted Joe to choose his studio because he was lonely and rarely got to watch his favorite movie with anyone. Joe felt bad and went for the studio door. Aethyr took the door away and declared it was too late and the moment was ruined. He decided to just wait for someone else who also enjoyed the comedic stylings of Reese Witherspoon. He yelled at Joe to begone. Joe said Howdy. Aethyr repeated himself and zapped Joe back to the physical plane.
