The Netherworld is another dimension commonly associated as being a home to the dead. Beetlejuice claimed he knew where they could find the lost Halloween Spirit because lost spirits always ended up in one place, the Lost Spirits Room in the Netherworld. He drew a door with chalk, opening a portal to the Netherworld. The Titans bounced off the door. Beetlejuice remembered only the dead could go to the Netherworld and got out a giant ax. After the Titans landed, Beetlejuice pulled up to them on the Netherworld Express, a train comprised of giant beetles. He played tour guide and pointed them to the "Dead Sea," a dead C creature on a boat. Then "Deadman's Gulch" where a beast named Gulch was leashed to a skeleton. Beetlejuice realized they reached a dead end and they sailed off a cliff towards a pit of spikes and flames. Beetlejuice rummaged for "the button" and tossed a crowbar, mace, and anvil which happened to all hit Robin the head. Beetlejuice found the button and pushed it. The beetles' wings sprouted and they flew off, right into the side of a cliff. Raven got testy.

Beetlejuice pointed to the entrance to the Lost Spirits Room but it was guarded by two giant demons. Beetlejuice got an idea from Raven and made the Teen Titans perform "The Banana Boat Song" to distract them. The guards got into the song and danced along. Beetlejuice turned into a giant spider during the black tarantula line and chased them around. He then made them punch themselves. After the second "Eight Foot Punch" line, they knocked themselves out. However, he forgot which door was the right one. The Titans searched door to door. Cyborg opened one door and saw Adam and Barbara Maitland's ghosts floating around in a void. Beetlejuice quickly assured him they didn't want anything to do with those deadbeats and shut the door. The Titans looked inside another door and found Trigon reading a copy of Handbook for the Recently Deceased. He was elated to see the Titans on the other side of his door to the Netherworld. He waved at them but his demeanor changed when Beetlejuice tried to hide. Beetlejuice remembered he owed Trigon money.

Beast Boy opened a door to a Sandworm. Beetlejuice exclaimed he hated them and pulled the Titans to safety just in time but the Sandworm flowed out of its door into the room where Trigon was and swallowed him whole. Beast Boy was concerned but Raven shrugged it off and was sure he would be fine. Starfire found the door to the Lost Spirits Room but it was locked. Beetlejuice informed them they just had to scare the keys off the janitor. Beast Boy pointed out they weren't good at being scary. Beetlejuice slapped him and ended up explaining that they were dead so they could make their face as scary as they wanted then apologized for hurting him. They morphed their faces to Beetlejuice's satisfaction. Robin was last but he told him his face was gross enough as it was. The janitor only freaked out when he saw Robin and ran away. They opened the door but they didn't see the Halloween Spirit.

Beetlejuice implored them lean in. They leaned. He told them to lean some more. They did. He rubbed his palms and told them to lean a little more. They leaned a little more. He kicked them into the room. To his annoyance, he had to explain to them he was double-crossing them, he was the one who kidnapped Halloween Spirit in the first place, and he trapped them in there so he could take over Halloween. The Titans struggled in vain to move around. Cyborg exclaimed there were no doors or windows. Robin remembered what Beetlejuice did and got out a piece of chalk. He drew a door and they returned to Jump City to set things right.
