The new Legion of Doom hired a bunch of henchmen to construct a headquarters identical to the already existing Legion of Doom's Hall of Doom. It came up in the waters near the Titans Tower. At some point, the Hall of Doom surfaced in swamp. Green Lantern, Flash, Wonder Woman, and Superman were captured and placed in front of a death laser in the hall. Sticky Joe's can of beans ended up in the Hall and coincidentally landed on the death ray machine, interrupting the power. It shut down. The Justice League was relieved. To their horror, Joe climbed atop the machine, took his can, and went into a missile exit. The machine turned back on and blasted the League. Someone selected the Titans Tower as a target and a missile was fired with Joe hanging from the edge.
