The Teen Titans and King Shark responded to a crime alert in the Garment District. King saw a box of long sleeve shirts and realized it was a trap but it was too late. Bane made his presence known and attacked with an energy blast emitted from his tank top. King returned fire. Their power was about equal but Bane powered up further and knocked King into some crates. The Titans were surprised tanks could produce that kind of power. Bane offered them to chance to join him and they would learn there was a lot King Shark didn't tell them about the Tank Life. They ignored King's pleas and bent a knee to Bane. Bane declared the world of sleeves would burn. He powered up and blew up the building.
