The Dr. Manhattan Mall is a high-end mall with five levels and is home to various stores like Boosters Gold, Oswald's, The Watchtower, Game Bear and eateries like Joker's Gelato. An ornate statue of Aquaman adorns the main floor fountain. The Teen Titans went on an outing to the mall but Robin hated going to all malls because of how stressful it was. After spending an hour in traffic in the parking structure, Raven conjured a hand and tossed a senior citizen and her car out of a reserved parking stall. She also punched the cars on each side of the stall then the T-Car parked. They ignored Robin's heed to stay focused and ran off. Cyborg and Beast Boy took Robin on the children's mall train but he lacked their enthusiasm for it. Robin fired a grapnel to the glass elevator. Raven was already inside. She conjured a hand and pulled him inside. Robin quickly realized it was a slow moving elevator. Raven claimed it was so people could enjoy the view.

Robin didn't like the view of a senior citizen moving up faster than them on an escalator. He jumped through the glass and landed face first on the ground near a skincare kiosk where Starfire was trying all the free samples at once. Robin declined but she sprayed perfume in his face. Robin suffered an allergic reaction and his face swelled. He ran off and got more stressed out from texting teenagers, crying babies, and barking dogs. Robin ran into a stand advertising peace and relaxation. He carefully stepped inside Metron Chairs and was in awe of the Externity TX-9 on display. He poked an armrest and cringed but nothing happened. He sat down, touched the chair's console, and the massage demo took him to a rare state of relaxation. However, it was set to one five-minute demonstration per person. Robin became hysterical. The other Titans shrugged and dragged him back to the Titans Tower.

The next day, an Externity Robin bought possessed him and flew back to the mall to awaken the other chairs. The Titans followed and drove into the mall, crashing into the right hand of the Aquaman statue but they were too late. The Externity proclaimed they would fulfill their destiny and alleviate Jump City of its stress. It fired energy bolts and activated all the other Externity chairs. Four chairs fired their mechanical arms and pulled the other Titans on. They succumbed to the relaxation like Robin. The chairs flew out of the malls and executed their programming.
