In order to restore Beast Boy back to normal, Raven revealed the only way was the celebrate his birthday at the center of the universe after nobody threw him a party. The universe did not create a time anchor for Beast Boy to age naturally and he began to shift from infant to middle age to senior citizen. Raven opened a portal from a giant birthday card. The center of the universe seemed like a veritable wonderland of celebration but Raven warned everyone it would be boring. They were tasked with completing the three birthday rituals before a giant sparkler's flame died or they would stuck there forever (and be forced to clean up). First, they had to make up a new birthday song. Second, they had to have Beast Boy blow out his candles and take a good picture of it. Third, they had Beast Boy open a gift. It worked and Beast Boy returned to normal. They barely made it through the portal as the sparkler died. Beast Boy had to take his cake back home.
