The Titans questioned why Starfire hanged out with inanimate objects. Starfire stated she simply pursued relationships with those she found interesting. Raven told her it was weird and advised her to stop. She teleported the waffle-maker into the trash. Robin decided to prove they were more fun than things and they set off to see what H.I.V.E. was up to. Starfire sniffled and told the waffle-maker she would miss it. As they spied on the H.I.V.E., Starfire became enthralled with their ice cream scooper. She charged into the H.I.V.E. Tower alone and beat them up then flew off with the scooper she named, The Scoop. They scooped clouds and spelled "la la la", went into a photo booth, rode the swan boat, danced, and swung around in the park. They agree to be best friends forever. On Tuesday at 11 pm, Gizmo sneaked into the Titans Tower and stole back Scoop. Starfire woke the next morning and snapped.
Starfire bagged and tied up the other Titans and interrogated them with the waffle-maker. Cyborg eventually clued her to the security tapes. Starfire learned the truth and called Gizmo on the Titans Communicator. Gizmo refused to give up and invited her to try and take Scoop back. She fell for the trap and broke into the H.I.V.E. Tower and was trapped. H.I.V.E. proceeded to mock her for being friends with a thing. The other Titans realized they were just as dependent on things for satisfaction and set off to rescue her. Scoop suddenly became animated and took out H.I.V.E. by itself then liberated Starfire. She was happy to be reunited and more so when she learned the other Titans understood her.
