Raven's Spellbook is the source of Raven's magical power. Trigon had the Book Wizard make two copies. Trigon gave her the first as a gift and the second was kept at the Azarath Public Library. It contains various spells Raven can cast by saying "Azarath Metrion Zinthos" and methods of summoning various beings. Cyborg and Beast Boy used it behind Raven's back to create magical duplicates so they could go on vacation and play video games to their heart's content. Silkie once ate it and gained magical powers like flying. Beast Boy tried to use it to turn the living room couch into a burrito. He turned Cyborg into a frog and Robin into a unicorn before he got it right. Beast Boy tried to make himself smart with an intelligence spell but it hit Silkie and produced smart looking glasses at least. He then cast a dumb spell to make the other Titans dumber than him. He eventually realized it was better for him to be dumber and cast another spell. Raven consulted the spellbook to summon the Halloween Spirit. It contained a list of items needed: a witch's eye, a mummy's hand, a dragon's scale, a goblin claw, and lot's of candy corn.
Beast Boy asked Raven to teach him how to use magic but she refused and warned him it was a dangerous art that took years of grueling discipline to master. While she slept, Beast Boy sneaked into her room as a spider and read the spellbook. He cast a spell that released a current of ghosts. Raven woke up but Beast Boy tried another spell, instead igniting the ghosts and the spellbook was reduced to ash by the fire. Raven was angry but could not cast magic anymore so she went to the Azarath Public Library for the second copy. A rotund demon took the copy but Beast Boy bartered it for a burrito. However, it was a spicy burrito. The demon ate it and burped fire that reduced the copy to ashes. With no choice, they had to go on a long and dangerous journey to seek out the Book Wizard to make a third printing. Upon learning both copies were lost, Book Wizard refused to help until Beast Boy used burrito magic to turn him into a burrito then threatened to eat him. Raven thanked Beast Boy and admitted she should have believed in him.
After the Halloween Spirit was kidnapped by Beetlejuice, the Titans noticed their decorations expired and candy vanishing. Raven got out her spellbook and used the summoning spell for the Halloween Spirit. The spell failed and a fart was ripped. Beast Boy grabbed the book and flipped through it to find something to save Halloween. An ad planted by Beetlejuice flew out. During the first round of Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Dance Crew Edition, Robin cheated and used Raven's Spellbook to give life to his Jabberwockeez puppets and advance to the finals. Raven's Spellbook was left on a bus headed to Gotham City by accident. A clown read a spell from it and transformed himself and his fellow clowns into Fish Zombies. Sticky Joe tried to look for something to open in can of beans in the Titans Tower. He found Raven's Spellbook under a couch cushion and hit the can with it. It opened to a page and unleashed a wave of energy that shot through the roof then a dark spirit flew out of the tower.
After Robin criticized the latest Death Toilet movie, the others became interested in an adventure with plot holes. Raven offered to conjure one with her spellbook. Raven offered to conjure one using her spellbook but first but revealed the Crazy Adventure spell required them to fill in some missing details. Robin took the spellbook away and cautioned them that putting in a bunch of random words could cause a serious plot hole. He proposed using logic to craft the adventure but the others weren't having it. Raven conjured a fist construct and punched him. She conjured pen and asked for someone to name a body part. Starfire chose the stomach. Raven asked for a household item. Beast Boy chose a cactus. Raven asked for a powerful person. Cyborg chose President Abraham Lincoln. Raven asked for something dumb. Beast Boy chose Robin's face. Raven asked for a useless skill. Starfire chose pottery making. Raven asked for a celebrity. Cyborg chose Scott Menville. After all the blanks were filled in, the book levitated and unleashed the spell. The adventure began with the Titans in their tower, now a giant stomach, until a crime alert was triggered and they departed on the T-Car, now a cactus. In order to neutralize the Plot Holes, Raven used her spellbook to summon amazing special effects. The giant eagles from Lord of the Rings, the asteroid from Armageddon, and the mothership from Independence Day manifested and effectively clogged and covered up the Plot Hole.
