Krypto took part in the Justice League's Next Top Talent Idol Star: Second Greatest Team Edition with Detective Chimp but lost. He teamed up with Chimp again and with Animal Man for the Super Hero Summer Camp's annual canoe race. After being initially capsized by the Teen Titans' pirate ship, their canoe was later blown up by cannon fire. Krypto was up for Superhero With The Best Animal-Based Powers but lost to Vixen.

Krypto was one of the judges in the Justice League's Next Top Idol Star: Justice League Edition. He did not like the cats in Starfire's dance performance and chased after them on stage. He loved Superman's juggling act, Wonder Woman's lasso work, especially the S shield, and Lady Legasus' Good Boy painting of him. He even applauded for the latter. At the end, Krypto brought the envelope with the judge's decision to Birdarang but refused to let go. He growled and let go after Birdarang sternly told him to drop it. Krypto attended the Wayne Manor Regency Ball. Starfire got out of control with her matchmaking and paired Plastic Man and Krypto. They shrugged and hugged then Plastic Man scratched his belly. Krypto went to Wonder Woman's 80th anniversary party and was a spectator at the Codsville Thanksgiving Parade.

While trying to recover and open his can of beans, Sticky Joe ended up in the Hall of Justice. He eventually found Green Lantern's power ring and made a can opener construct. He noticed Krypto had the can. Joe had a big bone construct. Krypto ran off. Joe made a net construct but Krypto burst out. Joe made a brick wall but Krypto burst through. Joe tumbled through the hole and lost the ring. He grabbed the Lasso of Truth and captured Krypto. He scolded him and Krypto handed the can back. However, he noticed Streaky and chased after him with Joe pulled along. Joe crashed into the Phantom Zone Projector display and was zapped into the Phantom Zone with his can.

Without telling Robin, the Teen Titans agreed to dogsit Krypto for a week while Superman went on vacation. On the day, Robin was against it. He told the Titans Krypto was a smart and highly disciplined dog and they were a bunch of irresponsible chuckleheads so their careless behavior was going rub off and turn Krypto into a bad dog. Raven pointed out they needed to be responsible for something in order to learn responsibility. Superman handed Robin a book "Caring for Krypto: Super Do's and Don'ts." Robin warned the Titans not to mess things up. Beast Boy turned into a dog then he and Krypto sniffed each other's butts. Beast Boy sensed he only ate organic dog food. Robin caught Krypto drinking from the toilet and scolded him. Cyborg admitted to leaving the seat up. Robin pointed there one of the rules was not to let Krypto drink toilet water. They didn't see the big deal. Starfire called Krypto up on the couch. Robin was shocked and revealed he wasn't allowed on furniture. Krypto spun around so hard he drilled into the sofa and popped out elsewhere. Robin scolded him and ordered him to get out.

Beast Boy decided to cheer him up by turning into a cat and initiating a chase. Krypto resorted to heat vision, leading to him chopping up the couch, making a hole in a wall, and zapping Robin. Robin got angry and made the Titans promise they would be more responsible. They were not. Robin caught them jumping on his bed, drinking from the toilet, and scooting across the floor. Krypto left heat trails Robin had to put out with a fire extinguisher. Robin initiated a lockdown on the bathroom but Raven simply portaled everyone inside. To his horror, they offered Krypto a steak. Robin stated he wasn't allowed to eat table food. He took it away and ate it. Krypto used x-ray vision, stomped his gut which made him regurgitate the stake. Krypto fled the Titans Tower with the steak. Three days later, the Titans walked into a giant building that resembled a hydrant. They went inside through a doggie door and discovered Krypto was now evil. He spoke to them through a collar he designed to allow him to communicate with people in English about his plan. Robin inquired.

Krypto revealed ever since he was a puppy, he was told he had to obey mankind's rules but thanks to the Titans, he learned that dogs can be free to do whatever they wanted. Krypto activated his invention, the Disobey Super Ray, designed to cause every dog on Earth to turn on their human masters, freeing them to build a new society where they reigned supreme. Robin ordered him to deactivate it but he refused. The Titans were no match for him. He slammed Starfire into the floor, bit Raven's construct, blew up Cyborg with his own missiles, and slammed Beast Boy and Robin around. Krypto returned to his monitor to watch the carnage. Cyborg admitted mankind's future was flushed down the toilet. Robin got an idea and had him turn into a toilet. Krypto was unable to resist a drink. While he was distracted, Starfire applied a metal collar on him. The cone of shame was deployed. He frantically tried to get it off. Raven opened a portal and Robin kicked him inside. Robin had to lick the screen to reverse the ray and restore everything to normal. Beast Boy was painted white and posed as Krypto. Superman was unaware of the ruse and left with him. Eventually, he discovered the truth and blasted Beast Boy with his heat vision.
