After the Teen Titans' search for the First Pot of Chowda in the Boston Catacombs came to an end, a giant green furry humanoid beast dropped down from the stalagmites and attacked them. The Titans' minds were so far gone from being revived repeatedly with Crystallized Lazarus Resin, they forgot how to use their powers to fight. Deadman got fed up, possessed the monster, made it punch itself in the face repeatedly, and made it jump to its death into the Boston creampie filling lake in the chamber.
