On Christmas Eve, Robin wrapped chains around the Titans' presents. Robin told them about the White Elephant, a yuletide creep who flies from house to house, stealing Christmas gifts. The others didn't believe he existed and went to sleep. Only Robin stayed up all night to guard the presents. He set up a trip wire, horns, peanuts, marbles and jacks in the living room. Robin fell asleep on the couch. On Christmas morning, the Titans awoke to see their presents gone. A crime alert was triggered. Presents all over the city were missing. He revealed he placed trackers in their presents and traced them to the South Pole Sock Company on the outskirts of Jump City. Raven portaled them inside. Robin spotted their presents but White Elephant trumpeted and jumped down to them. They demanded their presents back but he refused and admitted to loving stealing. Starfire told him it was wrong. So they would understand him, he told his origin story about getting only a pair of socks every Christmas. Not even writing to Santa Claus worked. He swore if he couldn't have an awesome present, no one would.

To ruin Christmas, he came up with the game of White Elephant office workers are often forced to play year after year. He declared they were going to play White Elephant with him. The Titans tried to fight him but White Elephant quickly defeated them. Robin refused. White Elephant activated the conveyor belt and threatened to destroy all the stolen presents. Robin conceded. Several giant presents and a Christmas rose up through the floor. They had to pick numbers from the mouth of a sleeping lion. Naturally, only Robin woke it up and got beat up. White Elephant loved it and revealed he had his number already, 6. Robin was first and got a lifetime supply of ice cream. Beast Boy had the choice of stealing the ice cream or opening a new gift. He stated he was no thief and opened the present for fancy luggage. Starfire got puppies. Cyborg got a train. Raven got gold. White Elephant chose to steal the gold from her. Raven could then steal any gift or choose the last present. She chose the present. It was a ton of socks.

To his surprise, Raven loved it rather than regret not stealing from her friends and ruining Christmas. He didn't believe the Titans all liked socks. They told him to keep the other presents and dove in. They put some on and did floor slides. White Elephant admitted it looked fun. They invited him to join in and he loved it. He realized he was so wrong this whole time and called it a Christmas miracle. White Elephant decided to return all the presents and took off in his sock sleigh with the Titans and dropped the gifts upon Jump City each with a pair of socks. He wished a Merry Christmas to all, and to all, a pair of socks.
