Thompson is a blue, furry monster with six pink tentacles for arms, four red elephant feet, a snake-like forked tongue, and a pincer at the end of his tail. He enjoys eating good neighbors and is oddly well informed about human culture and famous figures. He moved next door to the Teen Titans in Robin's family sitcom "The Titans" with the intention of eating Robin and his family. Thompson concealed himself behind the hedge between his and Robin's house. All anyone could see was a figure in silhouette wearing a fisherman's hat. In reality, this was just a prop atop Thompson's back. Granny never trusted Thompson and thought he was a monster. However, no one believed her because she was old and thought everyone was a monster. Frustrated with his family, Robin went outside to talk to Thompson and vented about everyone jumping on his back because they thought he was a deadbeat. Thompson was sorry to hear that. Robin lamented he would never get a #1 Dad mug like he always wanted.
Thompson told him about the ancient Mesopotamians and how the father figure was highly respected because they took the time to attend to their family's needs. Robin realized he just had to spend more time with his family and thanked Thompson. Thompson assured him it the pleasure was all his because he enjoyed having good neighbors. Robin tried to teach Beast Boy about being safe while on his bicycle, fix a sink with Starfire, and make a lasagna dinner but it all went awry. Robin went to Thompson and told him he just made things worse. Thompson was sorry to hear that and remembered a quote from Francis Bacon, "There's no comparison between that which is lost by not succeeding than that which is lost by not trying." Robin remarked that was one smart piece of bacon. He swore he heard his family screaming. Thompson became nervous and pretended he didn't hear anything. Thompson excused himself to his barbecue but Robin heard his family scream again. He peeked over the hedge and gasped. His family was being barbecued by Thompson.
Robin realized he was a monster after all and vowed he would enjoy his fist. Robin tore off his right sleeve and charged but Thompson immediately grabbed him and started mocking him for thinking he could win even though he couldn't even be a decent father. Robin admitted he was right and wasn't cut out to be a super dad no matter how hard he tried. His family begged to differ and told him a super dad doesn't have to be perfect, he just has to try. They proclaimed he was a super dad. A bright glow suddenly came down from the sky. Thompson winced and looked away. A #1 Dad mug floated down to Robin's hand. He broke free and flew upwards then dived at Thompson. A huge explosion was triggered from the impact and Robin saved his family but they left him to go live with Aqualad under the sea as royalty.
